Larry (Thomas Laurence) Pitts of Mitchell, Ontario, in his 80th year, passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Born in Stratford, son of the late John and Beatrice (Pauli) Pitts.
Larry was an avid golfer and could often be found on the beautiful course behind his home. He spent many years travelling to North Carolina and Florida and camping in many different parks in the family motorhome. On their adventures Larry and Jean made many friends along the way, who they continued to see in their travels every winter. He will be missed by all of his US families.
Survived by his loving wife Jean Pitts, his son Jason (Chan) Pitts, his daughter Andrea (Jason) Melville and son-in-law Kevin Foster. Loved and missed by 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and especially his fur baby CoCo. Also survived by his brother Jack (Mary Graham) Pitts, sister Carol (Wilf) Mohr, brother-in-law Don Burton and sister-in-law Audrey Pitts. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by his daughter Sue Foster in 2013, his brother Donny Pitts in 2014 and his sister Kathy Burton in 2016.
Cremation has taken place and details of a memorial service will be shared in the spring.
