Obituary of Stephen Chalmers
Stephen Reagh Chalmers died peacefully at home on Sunday August 16, 2020 following a brief battle with cancer. Steve is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Carla and stepchildren, Eric Douglas (Lisa Macdonell), Mark Douglas (Catherine) and Rebecca Douglas. He was the proud Papa of 3 granddaughters, Emily Dennison and Cambria and Eleri Douglas. Steve was the son of Jill and the late Donovon Chalmers and brother of Margo Neuwelt and Lesley Chalmers (Colleen Anderson). A retired teacher, Steve loved reading, travelling and curling but he was especially passionate about the game of bridge.
A private family service will be held at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Extended family and friends are welcome to watch the funeral service via live stream by visiting the funeral home website www.woodfuneralhome.ca on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce or the Canadian Cancer Society’s Metastatic Future Fund would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
