Stanley Rakush
Stan Rakush went gently at the age of 85 after a battle with cancer on October 9th 2020.
Stan was born and spent many years in Montreal where he raised his family. Following a trip out west while visiting his daughters, he decided to relocate to coastal BC after driving through the beautiful scenery. Stan eventually made his way to Riondel, BC where he continued to enjoy his love of fishing and being close to his family.
Stan’s strong and charming personality will be greatly missed by his daughters, Catherine and Victoria (Greg), his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sisters, Alice and Oksana, his niece Alison and his friend and partner Ruth. He will be reunited with his beautiful daughter, Catherine and embraced by his son-in-law, Greg.
Many thanks to all who helped with his care, Dr. Janz and the staff at Mountain Lakes in Nelson.
Cremation has already taken place and although, as his wish there will be no service, we will remember him fondly and often. We hope you have found peace and are dancing in the stars.
