Obituary for Sonny Young
Ngar Sun (Sonny) Young, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the age of 87. Dear husband of Patricia (nee Wright). Caring father of Richard (Susan) and Katherine (Rob). Proud grandfather of Christopher and Tommy. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Eileen Young, brothers Arthur (Anne-deceased), Bill (Betty), Erle (Florence) and sister Margaret (Richard Wong-deceased). He will be missed by surviving siblings Jimmy (Barbara), Bob (Joyce), Clancy (Val), George (Terry-deceased), Lloyd (Alannah-deceased) and sister Dorothy as well as his many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews from both the Young and Wright families.
In the early 1980s, Sonny studied 3 years for Christian Ministry. Upon graduation as an ordained minister, he waited on God to find his calling. He did minister to individuals and spoke at several gatherings. He loved The Lord and is now in His presence.
A special thank you goes to the 8th floor staff at North York General Hospital whose compassionate care helped Sonny through his difficult journey with pneumonia. A memorial service and interment will not take place at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations to PWRDF Water Project in Indigenous Communities in Canada or North York General Hospital would be appreciated.
