Obituary of Shirley Delaney
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 28, 2020, Shirley Delaney of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 74 years.
Predeceased by husband: Ronald Sr.; parents: Art and Stella Hurdle; infant sister: Barbara; niece: Roxanne Smith; great-niece: Felicity Hurdle; parents-in-law: Sebastian and Beatrice.
Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Tanya (Sheldon) Johnson, Bay Roberts; four sons: Kenneth, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Ronald (Lisa), Bay Roberts, Barry (Denise), Marystown, and Gerard (Krista), Riverhead, Harbour Grace; seven grandchildren: Ashley, Jake, Daniel, Maggie, Emma-Jane, Kaegan, and Isabella; fur baby: Skyler; three brothers: Thomas (Frances) Hurdle, Arthur (Laverne) Hurdle, and Gerard Hurdle, all of Riverhead, Harbour Grace; three sisters: Doreen (Daniel) Bennett, Stephenville Crossing, Stella Ann (William) Smith, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, and Bonita (Trent) Keough, Lac La Biche, AB; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Butt and Dr. Howse; Community Health Nurses, homecare worker: Samantha Reynolds, and to her palliative care nurses.
Due to the current pandemic, there will be no visitation or Funeral Mass. A private interment will be held in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
