SHIRLEY NARISSA RIDEOUT
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Narissa Rideout, (Mitchell), born in Kings Point, Newfounland, October 20th, 1952. Passed away at Health Sciences North on October 3rd, 2020 from complications with diabetes and heart problems. Shirley moved to Sudbury in 1989. Beloved wife of Thomas Rideout (predeceased 1992), beloved sister of Brenda, Ivy, Gerald (predeceased) George (predeceased), Toots, Jessie (predeceased), Marjorie, Ruby (predeceased). Beloved mother of Ray, Lorraine (Danny), Norma, Johnny, Lanny (Lynne), mother in-law to Skye and Sabrina. Adored granddmother to Nikita (mother Lorraine), Nikita (father Ray), Joseph, Daniel, Michael (mother Norma), Bailey, Jayden, and her precious princesses Madyson (father Lanny) and Jasmine (mother Sabrina), Destiny, Thomas, Connor, Ryley, Charlie (father Johnny). Great granddmother to Jayden and Lila (mother Nikita). Connor, Anneliese, and Rhinnon (mother Nikita). Best friend to Maxine and Shirley. Shirley volunteered many years at the McCourt Residence in Garson along with her friend Maxine. She loved her Tim Horton tea, making her Jig’s dinner for all the holidays, keeping the Newfoundland tradition going. She also enjoyed singing karaoke. Shirley also love to sew, crochet and making a lot of crafts. She loved going to Porketta bingos along with her friend Maxine. The saddest thing of all Shirley never got to fulfill her dream of going to Newfoundand, her hometown, this summer with her son Lanny and daughter in law Lynne and granddkids. Funeral visitation in the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 from 11:30am-2pm followed by the service in the R.J. Barnard at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lanny and Lynne would be appreciated. Due to COVID-19, 50 people or less in our visitation room and 80 people in our chapel. Facemasks are mandatory.
