Obituary for Sherri Belcourt-Copeland
July 11, 1943 – March 12, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sherri Belcourt-Copeland who passed away at Cottage House hospice in Vancouver on March 12, 2020 at the age of 76.
She will be remembered with love and gratitude by her son Todd Belcourt, step daughter-in-law Linda Copeland and Linda’s children: Stacey Copeland (daughter Megan), Cameron Copeland (spouse Vivian Yeung, sons Parker and Elliot, daughter Grace), Kristina Grant (husband Mark, sons William and Owen).
Sadly Mom’s first marriage ended in divorce in 1984. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews from her “first” family. Special mention to Marc Belcourt (wife Junko and children Layla and Lucas) who spent a lot of time with mom when she was in the hospital.
On October 14, 1995, mom married Al Copeland and spent 15 wonderful years with him. Sadly Al passed away in 2010.
Mom was born July 11,1943 in Regina Saskatchewan. She worked for many years in the real estate industry. She worked in sales, administration and as a trainer for companies in Regina, Kelowna, Toronto and Vancouver. Her last job (which she loved) was a Chanel Fashion Advisor at Holt Renfrew in Vancouver. Mom loved to do volunteer work. Her last volunteer position was in the Emergency Department at Vancouver General Hospital.
Mom loved making new friends, socializing with people, reading and shopping!
Thank you to the very kind and helpful people at Vancouver General Hospital and Cottage House Hospice who did an amazing job caring for mom.
Mom’s remains have been cremated. Mom requested no service. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
Mom was loved and respected by many people. She will be missed.
