Obituary for
Sandra Mugford
It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Smith Mugford announces her passing on 31 July 2020, at the age of 71 after a long battle with chronic kidney disease and short but courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra is predeceased by her parents, Al and Florence Smith, brother Eric and sister Olga (Dave) Keating and parents-in-law Harold and Annie May Mugford. Leaving to mourn, her husband of 46 years, Norm; her only son, David (Jennifer); sister, Gertrude (Ray) McClanahan, South Carolina; brother-in-law, Harold (Mary), Ontario; and sisters-in-law, Ada (Lloyd) Abbott, Ontario and Florence (Bill) Littlejohn, Coley’s Point; as well as her special nieces and nephews, cousins and a large circle of friends, especially her best friend, Janice Drover.
A gifted pianist, Sandra’s passion for music was realized as church organist and music teacher in her hometown of Spaniard’s Bay. Due to the global pandemic, we are unable to hold the type of service that Sandra wanted, therefore there will not be a public visitation and funeral service at this time. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at a later date.
Donations in Sandra’s memory may be made to Holy Redeemer Anglican Church in Spaniard’s Bay or to a charity of one’s choice.
