Sandra Parks
1947-2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra Pauline Parks
announces her passing which occurred on August 15, 2020, surrounded by
her loving family at the Dr. V. A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB. Born in
Saint John, NB on November 24, 1947, she was the daughter of the late
Lex and Eva (Newnham) Brayley.
Sandra was employed at Connor Brothers Limited for 25 years. In her
younger years, she enjoyed fishing, picking periwinkles, clamming,
making wreaths, music and dancing (Boy could she dance). Her family
will always have fond memories of her sunbathing in her unique attire.
Sandra was a very thoughtful, generous and kind-hearted individual.
This very special trait was bequeathed to her children.
Sandra is survived by her sons: Mark Parks of Kingston, NB and Wayne
Parks (Susan) of Salt Springs, NB; daughters: Kimberly Hill (Stephen)
of Hampton, NB and Lynda Parks (Mark) of Hampton, NB; honourary son
Dougie VanTassel of Blacks Harbour, NB; grandchildren: Duncan and
Jillyn Parks, Austin and Ashley Hill, Natalie and Kristie Parks and
Alivia Healey; great grandchild Roxy; sister Susan Healey;
sisters-in-law: Anne Green, Theresa London and Marilyn Brayley; and
special nieces Sherry and Lori; as well as extended family. In
addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her loving husband
William «Billy» Parks; brothers: Denis and David
Brayley; and Brother-in-law Harry Healey.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Mom’s
second family, «The Snow Angels», at the Dr. V. A.
Snow Centre for their kind and compassionate care throughout her
journey with Alzheimer’s disease.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home
(506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, where visitation will
be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 4 to 7 PM. Due to Covid 19
and the families wishes, a private funeral service will be
held.
Donations in
memory of Sandra may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital
Foundation, Dr. V. A. Snow Centre or to the charity of the
donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and
