Ruth G. Denny
1935-2020
Ruth G. (Cox) Denny, daughter of Stephen Cox and Mary Ann Kinney, was
born March 31st, 1935 in Beechwood, New Brunswick. Ruth married Leo
Joseph Denny on June 25th, 1960 in Johnville, New Brunswick. Their
children, Jeanette (Gerald), Pamela (Geno), Francis
“Ricky” (Karen), Donna, Gail, Carla, and beloved son
Michael. As well as 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mum is also survived by her dear sisters-in-law, Hilda (Denny) Dionne,
and Marie (Denny) Hanzakos (Jim), and brother-in-law Charlie Denny.
Mum was the last member of her family, predeceased by her husband Leo,
and siblings Frances, Charlie, Mark, Murray, Lester (Bud) and
much-loved sister-in-law Beulah.
Mum was a quiet lady who adored her children and grandchildren. Mum
loved playing games and listening to music. She loved jewellery and
having her nails painted. She loved opening a gift on Christmas Eve
and she loved all animals big and small. Mum loved to sing and tell
stories, and you could always turn to her for comfort. She always had
our backs. Mum’s favourite thing was just being with her family, all
of whom she loved dearly, especially her adored baby boy, Michael. He
and all of us kids will miss her forever. We love you Mumma.
The family wishes to thank the Riverview Manor staff for their care of
Mum during the last four years. Due to the COVID-19 travel
restrictions the family will hold a Celebration of Life in June of
2021.
