Russell passed away peacefully with Pat by his side at Saugeen Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
His Legacy…
Russell Oliver Seiler beloved husband, father, brother and Uncle. He excelled at all his endeavours. Professionally as a teacher at the Peel Board for most of his career. He was an avid wood carver and creator. He spearheaded and operated a boat manufacturing facility, producing various models of wooden boats. He was a boat enthusiast and could always be found tinkering and repairing things around the house, boat, or cottage. Many happy memories were created at their cottage north of Southampton and boating on the Great Lakes. Pat and Russ were also snowbirds in Ft. Myers Florida for 25 years.
His Family…
Russell was born on January 18, 1929 to the late Oliver and Mabel Seiler of Paisley. He was a loving husband to Pat for 62 years. Devoted father to Scott (Nancy). Brother to John (Barbara). Brother-in-law to Stan Beckley (Carol), and predeceased by his brother-in-law Dick Beckley (Ann). Uncle to nieces and nephews in Port Elgin, Hamilton and Ancaster. He will be missed by many friends in Port Elgin, Florida and Mississauga.
His Farewell…
A private family service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 1:00pm at the T.A. Brown Funeral Home, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin, 519-832-2222. Family and friends wishing to view the service may do so on facebook @BrownFamilyFH or in the service details below.
