Warden – Rose Marie
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Warden on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer. At the time of her passing, she was lovingly surrounded by her family and closest friends.
Born in 1977, Rosie was a truly wonderful mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was a ray of sunshine who lit up any room with her warm smile, huge heart and caring soul. Through her lifelong commitment to basketball (playing, coaching and reffing) and the Boys and Girls Club, Rosie was a role model and mentor helping countless young people reach their potential. While she was known as an outstanding athlete, she will be fondly remembered for the youth she inspired and the lives she changed. From her greatest moments to her darkest days, Rosie always carried herself with strength, courage and determination. May she Rest In Peace.
Rosie will be received in heaven by her late mother Barb and her brother Thomas (TC). She is survived by Ed and their daughter Hope and step sons Antoine and Xavier; Abe and their sons AJ and Caleb; sisters Ashley, Coco (Eddie) and Sue (Bob), father John; god children Janessa and Tyler; aunt Debbie (Tom); along with her cousins, nieces and nephews and the Tweddle Family.
Friends and family will gather to pay their respects at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean, on Tuesday, November 17th from 2- 4 pm. Due to COVID restrictions you are required to register for a visitation time on the Tubman Funeral Home website at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com or by calling 613-722-6559. A private celebration of Rosie’s legacy will be held on Wednesday, November 18th at 10:30am. Please see the Tubman website for live streaming information.
