It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of the love of my life, of 44 years, Ronnie J. Allison, on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born September 14, 1948, Ronnie was the son of the late George and Evelyn (Finney) Allison of Sydney Mines.
Ronnie worked for Jacques, Whitford Environmental for several years, and The Lucky Store Co-Op. He retired from Crown Taxi in 2001 to spend time with his wife.
Ronnie was also a member of the Sydney Mines Fire Dept. for many years, and also dispatched for the Sydney Mines Police.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife Peggy (White), and his fur baby Abe. He also leaves behind his uncle Jack, brother-in-law Melvin (Mary) White, sisters-in-law Thelma (David) Johnston, Dian White, Marcella McRae, special sister-in-law Debbie (Danny) Bonnar, special brother-in-law Tommy Williams, special niece Tracy Charlesworth (Dave), and several nieces and nephews, Goddaughter Robin and Godsons Todd and Troy.
Ronnie is also survived by his close friends; Charlie Taylor, Wayne Young, Jackie Ginter, Barry MacIntyre and Joey Simpson, and cousins Derrick, Darryl, Trevor and Billy.
Besides his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his uncle Eddy (Althea) Finney, uncle Alerta, aunt Ida Finney, brothers-in-law Charlie (Betty) White, Donnie White, and Kenny McRae, sister-in-law Hazel Williams, nieces Cindy White and Angela Dawn, nephews Nush White, Jordie, Alan, David Rideout, and in-laws John and Annie White.
