Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Ronald John Stead, at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Shirley (Blair) Stead and dear father of Debbie Wood (Doug), Donna Burley (Al), Janet Dostaler (Eric) and David Stead (Maria). Loving grandfather of Christopher Wood (Logan), Tyler Burley (Rachel), Scott Burley (Kalli), Lindsay Kelly (Kevin) and Reilly Stead. Will also be missed by his 8 great grandchildren, his brother Floyd Stead (Marion) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister; 5 brothers and by his parents Margaret (Foster) and Hugh Stead.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 1-3 pm. A ceremony celebrating Ron’s life will take place in the chapel at 3 pm followed by inurnment in the Tower Columbarium and a reception.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada will be gratefully acknowledged.
