Ronald Charles Robinson of Sarnia passed away peacefully at Visions Nursing Home on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in his 85th year.
Ron was the loved husband of Carol Robinson nee Kennedy. Ron and Carol were able to spend their anniversary together on March 10, just prior to lockdown occurring due to the COVID pandemic. During this time together, Ron and Carol celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary and the many memories that took part over the years.
Ron is the father of Ronald and Doug and grandfather and great grandfather to many. Ron is predeceased by his daughter Cheryl (2020).
Raised in a large family of 13, Ron will be missed by his sisters Shirley, Bonnie, and Jean and is predeceased by his siblings Tom, Howard, Carm, Carl, Mick, Butch, Athene, Carol, and Ilene. Ron will also be remembered by many extended family, friends, and neighbours.
Ron was his happiest when he was camping, enjoying over 20 years out at Orchard View Park. For years, Ron and Carol spent their weekend’s camping in their older trailer with no hot water and a tiny bed; always happy in their own version of roughing it. As time passed, the couple upgraded to a more modern trailer, spending more and more time together at their much-loved campsite. When Ron wasn’t camping he was playing Bingo or watching his favourite sports like baseball, hockey or golf on tv.
Ron will be remembered for his easy-going personality, someone who was always looking to help complete a task with a neighbour, puttering about at jobs for anyone in need. A loyal, helpful man and much-loved husband.
