Asselin, Roland
It is with profound sadness the family of Roland Asselin announces his passing on Thursday July 9th, 2020 at the age of 89. Roland will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years Laurette Downey. He was born June 30th, 1931 in St. Stanislas, Quebec. He was the loving father of Jerry Bilodeau, Michael Bilodeau, Roger Bilodeau (deceased Oct 7th, 1979), Lawrence Asselin (Helen), Steve Asselin (Stephanie), Rolande Whitehead (Bruce). He was the admired grandfather of Jason Hill, Crystal Paul, Nadine MacNeil, Michele and Austin Bilodeau, Ashley and Alyssa Whitehead, Megan Abraham, Aaron Schellenberg, Aric and Emily Asselin, Adam, Ayla, and Alex Asselin. Beloved step father to Sharon, Mike, Brian, Charlene, Frank, Susan, Bob, and Marc. Roland was predeceased by his parents; Arthur and Evangeline, brothers; Jean Claude and Jean-Guy and sisters; Adrianna, Fernande, Rose-Amande, and Isabelle. He is survived by his brothers, Dennis(Rachel) and Guy-Paul (Denise). He will be forever remembered for his strong work ethic, sense of humour and love of all things outdoors.
