Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert “Bob” George Laver which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 20 th , 2020. Born 1942, in Cooksville, ON., he was the son of the late Eric and Beryl (Handley) Laver. In his earlier years, Bob served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Bob was a member of Branch 62 Legion on the Kingston Peninsula. He worked as a Construction Manager at Brunswick Square and Canada Games. Bob was a board member of Soccer Canada as well as the President of Soccer NB. In the last 18 years, Bob would be remembered dearly by all who knew him through the Quispamsis arena canteen.
Bob is survived by his wife Patricia (Burley), his sons and grandchildren Robert Laver of Halifax, NS., Donald Laver (Amanda, Jackson and Emma) of Kingston, ON., Darren Laver (Christie and Beckett) of Quispamsis, NB., his sister Sheila Graham (Dwayne) of Surrey, BC.; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother Barry and his sister Carol.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to the pandemic, visitation and service times are pending. We will update our website as soon as details are confirmed.
