Raymond «Pard»‘s Obituary
Davis, Raymond Eugene “Pard” – 62 of Shelburne passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Thursday September 17, 2020 with his wife by his side. Born in Sandy Point he was the only son of Tom and Martha (Newell) Davis. Raymond graduated from Shelburne Regional High School and Ryerson College (Toronto). He worked as a health inspector for 23 years and was the owner of the Cape Cod Colony Motel. Raymond was a Councillor for the Municipality of Shelburne, and an avid volunteer for the Sandy Point Lighthouse Community Center. Raymond also sang in the Town choir, and he was a member of the Shelburne Baptist Church. He received the National Presidents award for his community work. He was a kind and compassionate person. Raymond loved Classic cars, and motorcycles especially Harley Davidson. He loved “His Mary”, his parents and his children dearly. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Erika (Chris), son Raymond “Ryan” (Alysia). Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd. Visitation will take place on Sunday September 20, 2020 from 7-9 pm in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home where the Memorial Service will take place on Monday September 21 at 2:00 pm., with Pastors Wayne and Tanya Dooks and Pastor Ron Coole officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Shelburne Baptist Church, Sandy Point Lighthouse, Mental health association or Charity of Choice. The family would like to thank Roseway Hospital and Yarmouth ICU, and 3 South Doctors and Nurses for their compassionate care of Raymond.
