Obituary
Passed peacefully away on June 25, 2020 at the Health Science Centre, in the presence of her family. Phyllis Forward aged 90 years. Predeceased by her first husband Clarence Whitten (1990); second husband Kenneth Forward (2005);daughter Barbara Hann (Norman) (2014); parents: Rex (2000) and Gladys (nee Ivimey) Norman (1980); infant brother Neil Andrews (1938); sister June Hawkins (2015); grandson Phillip Tyler Hiscock (1992); niece Jill Lambert (2017); nephew Gerrit Robyn (2002); brother-in-law Reginald Whitten (2001; sister-in-law Thelma Hawco (2003); stepson Jim Forward and numerous other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts, but immense gratitude for her long healthy active life, her children: Randy (Barb), Heather (Brian) Luffman, Dean (Valerie) and Stephen (Laurie); sisters: Carol (Martin) Rodgers and Lorraine (Ches) Lambert; sister -in-law: Florence (Ron) Husk; step children: Colin (Barb) and Paul (Brenda) Forward; son-in-law: Phil (Kathy) Carter; daughter-in-law: Rhonda Hiscott; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends, especially her choir friends and those from Masonic Park. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and hospital staff for their care and compassion. Our mom lived a very full and active life in her Church, Community and Family. She sang in Church Choirs from the time she was 12 years old, up until her passing. She volunteered with numerous causes and was always happiest when she was among family and friends.
At Phyllis’ request cremation has taken place. A private family Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 2:00pm from the Parish of The Ascension. The service will be live streamed through the following link www.facebook.com/ParishoftheAscension/live/. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. As expressions of sympathy donation’s may be made in Mom’s memory to the Church of the Ascension, Mt. Pearl, ( www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/parish-of-the-ascension-mount-pearl/), The Children’s Wish Foundation, or to a charity of one’s choice .
