Obituary of Patrick Dudley
DUDLEY, Campbell George “Patrick”
November 23, 1959 – December 20, 2020
Thoughtful person, genuine friend, caring relative, loving husband, and devoted father…
It is with deep sadness that the family of Pat Dudley announces his passing at the age of 61 years after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat leaves to mourn his wife Joyce; and their two sons: Kyle (Ellen), and Kevin; as well as his loyal canine companion, Chloe. He was predeceased by his parents, Leona and Ned; and his brother Stuart. Pat is survived by his mother, Joan Dudley, and a wonderful blended family of six siblings. His sisters are: Lori (Doug), Susan (Joe), Mary (Chris), and Janice (Pat). Pat’s brothers are: John, and Tony (Donna-Lynn). He also leaves to grieve his brother-in-law, Bill (Jan), close relative, Ron; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pat felt very fortunate to have so many amazing friends, who offered loving support during the challenging battle with his illness. The phone-calls, texts, cards, food, well wishes and prayers meant so much to him, and were truly appreciated. Special appreciation is given to Rev. Allan Higgs for his kind visits and blessings. Pat had a wonderful life filled with many passions. His greatest pleasure was family time; he was deeply proud of his two sons and their accomplishments. Pat loved watching them play sports and he will be fondly remembered for being there cheering them on, usually with a camera in hand. He loved taking action shots of their teams, and photography became a hobby he truly enjoyed. Pat also loved learning new things and he earned degrees in Civil Engineering and Computer Science. He had a long career in the IT department at SaskTel, where he met many wonderful friends and colleagues until he took a leave due to his illness. Pat also loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many places throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe. He was a devoted Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and was a season ticket holder for many years. Our family feels so truly grateful to have had Pat in our lives; we only wish that we could have had him longer. His lasting legacy is deep in our hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Moola, Dr. Iqbal, nurse Dorianne, dietician Bethany, social workers: La Rae & Kristen, Dr. Chami, Dr.Qureshi, the great staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, the Palliative Care Team (Dr. Johnson, Dr. Baumann & Barb), all the caring, exceptional nurses of 3A and 3B, and the kind pharmacy staff at Gardiner Park Pharmasave. You made this very difficult journey easier. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Memorial Service will be delayed. There will be a private family service before interment. Family and friends, so wishing, may make memorial donations in Pat’s name to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 7T1 or pancreaticcancercanada.ca.
