Norman Tapley
1938-2020
Following a courageous battle with cancer, Norman Cyrus Tapley of
Weaver, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital
on July 4, 2020.
Norman was born in Everett, NB, on April 8, 1938. He was the son of
the late Richard and Vivian (Porter) Tapley. Norman leaves behind his
loving wife, Bernadine Tapley (Lunn); his daughters, Sandra Tapley of
Oxbow, NB, Susan Zee of New York; his stepchildren, Robert Green
(Karen) of Wapske, NB, Ronald Green (Karen) of Weaver, NB, Leslie
Green (Anna) of Weaver, NB, Gwen Ruff (Mike) of Blue Bell, NB, Leigh
Green of Weaver, NB, William Green (Theresa) of Wapske, NB, Marilyn
Howe (Jeff) of Moncton, NB, Marlene Green-Storey (Dean) of
Fredericton, NB, Ivy May Noble (Roger) Rusagonis, NB, Connie Wright
(Kendall) of Somerville, NB; his sisters, Barbara Goodine of Plaster
Rock, NB, Lena Lacey of Plaster Rock, NB, Sharon Paget (Bob) of Sisson
Brook, NB, Peggy Jenkins (Preston) of Plaster Rock, NB, Patty Oleksyn
(Terry) of Lamont, AB; his brothers, Richard Tapley (Dorothy) of
Mississauga, ON, Cedric Tapley (Grace Anne) of Plaster Rock, NB, Roger
Tapley (Colleen) of Lamont, AB; along with numerous grandchildren,
great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Norman was predeceased by his parents; his infant daughter, Jean; his
sister-in-law, Debbie Tapley; his brothers-in-law, Richard Arden, Jim
Lacey, and James Goodine.
Norman was a bulldozer operator during his career. He enjoyed any
outdoor activity, especially hunting and fishing. He taught all his
children and grandchildren the art of hunting and fishing. Norman also
enjoyed playing cards games such as 45’s and cribs. He was also a
member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 29, of plaster Rock,
NB.
Respecting Norman’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
held. A graveside service will be held at Burntland Brook Cemetery at
a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Burntland Brook
Cemetery, the Victoria County SPCA, or the Mamma Bear Cancer Fund
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
