Mary Slabyj
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Slabyj on February 10, 2020 at the age of 79 years. Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Taras; daughters, Lydia (Wendell) and Luba; son, Roman (Susan); brother, Mike; sister, Lydia; and extended family in Canada, USA and Ukraine. Predeceased by her parents, Jaroslaw and Anna; and her beloved sister, Christina.
Mary worked as a teacher for over 35 years with the Edmonton Separate School Board. It was a vocation she cherished.
Prayer Service Thursday, February 20 at 7:00 p.m. at St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church, 11305 – 95 A Street, Edmonton.
Divine Liturgy Friday, February 21 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church. Reverend Danylo Kuc officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
