In Memory of Mark Williams
Mark Williams of Harrow Ontario, age 48, died suddenly while at work, on the morning of July 14, 2020. Despite efforts by paramedics and hospital staff, he was not able to be revived after a sudden cardiac event. Taken far too soon, Mark was liked by all who met him. He is survived by his parents Robert and Therese; sister Connie (partner Toby); loving wife Chrissie and their two children, Emory (12) and Shyleah (9); first wife Elizabeth and their son Connor (23).
Born in Montreal on March 24, 1972, Mark leaves behind family and many friends in Montreal, New Brunswick, Ottawa, Banff, Sault St-Marie, Windsor, Belle-River, and Harrow. He graduated from St. Paul’s High School in 1992, trained as a mechanic and worked in the trade for more than decade, until he planted his roots in Harrow, finding joy in his work with Sun Parlor Growers.
Mark enjoyed gardening and camping with his family. He was also a licensed scuba diver and hoped to spend his retirement with Chrissie exploring Canadian waters. He was generous with stories, with laughter, and with hugs. He didn’t always have much, but it was yours if you needed it. He will be missed.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated following a small gathering of his immediate family on Sunday July 19th. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been created for his children to help with this difficult transition and future education.
It was Mark’s wish not to have a traditional funeral gathering but rather a celebration of life (date to be posted) when friends and family are able to gather together again, to share their own stories and laughter, in honour of a man who touched many lives.
