Marilyn Isabella Mulrooney, 63, of Brampton, Ontario, passed away on August 5, 2020 peacefully with her daughter, son-in-law, sisters and brother by her side. Most notably known as daughter, best friend, mama, nanny, sis/sissy, Marl, Aunt Marilyn and now Angel. Born on February 18, 1957 in Botwood, Newfoundland. Her late mother, Margaret June Goobie was her best friend, and they have now reunited in heaven for eternity. Marilyn was a devoted mother first and foremost. Her only daughter was Vanda Romano (Michael). Marilyn and her daughter had an unbreakable bond and were extremely close. Her most treasured title was that of “Nanny” to her only granddaughter, Emilia Romano. She was nanny’s little peanut and the sunshine of her life. Predeceased by her brother Daniel (Sharon). She is survived by her sister Vanda, sister Judy (Peter), brother Thomas (Joan), sissy Margaret (Guy). She was a wonderful aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was a fighter and the strongest woman we all knew. Her biggest passions in life were her daughter and granddaughter. She was an incredible single mom who worked tirelessly to ensure her daughter was able to achieve anything she wanted to and provided her with every opportunity to succeed. Since 2017, her world revolved around her granddaughter and she would give her anything her heart desired.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 6-9pm at Brampton Crematorium & Visitation Centre (30 Bramwin Court, Brampton, ON, L6T 5G2). The funeral ceremony will take place at 12pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Brampton Crematorium & Visitation Centre. Burial to follow a procession to Glenview Memorial Gardens (7541 Hwy 50, Woodbridge, ON L4H 4W7) A livestream will be available for those who cannot attend in person.

Marilyn’s wishes are in lieu of flowers, for those that feel comfortable, monetary donations would be greatly appreciated to assist with the funeral expenses for the family.
