Obituary
Papineau, Mary Jacqueline (Jackie) nee Dufaure, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 11th, 2020 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by her family. Jackie is survived by Alphonse, her husband of 62 years and by her daughters Dian Papineau Magill (Peter Magill) of Hay River, NT, Katherine Papineau (Steve Runnalls) of Thornloe, ON and Linda Papineau (Todd Partridge) of Bonfield, ON. She is also survived by her sisters Elizabeth Robertson of Peterborough, ON and Jeanette Cushing of Thornhill, ON.
She was predeceased by her parents Agnes Dufaure (Gauthier) and her father John Dufaure and by her sisters Ethel, Yvonne and Doreen and her brother Danny.
Jackie had much love for her six grandchildren, Brian Papineau of Ottawa, ON, Greg Runnalls, Scott Runnalls of Thornloe, ON, Christina Runnalls of North Bay ON, Michael-Anne Pritchard (Eddie Pritchard) of Elk Lake, ON and Gates Partridge of Ottawa, ON, and by her four great-grandchildren, Keiran, Logan and Olivia Pritchard of Elk Lake, ON and Evelyne Papineau of Ottawa, ON. For many years, Jackie was an active member of the Callander Over Fifty Club and enjoyed her years of volunteering at Meals on Wheels and the separate school boards Family Enrichment Program. Thank you to Dr. Gong for his assistance and special thanks to Dr. Richard Trenker who guided and assisted the family, at all hours, throughout Jackie’s illness.
Cremation has taken place as per Jackie’s wishes and a family memorial will be held at a later date.
