Vance, Margaret Agnes (Cooke) – 97, Truro, passed away peacefully after a short stay at Gables Lodge, Amherst. Born in Portapique, a farm girl at heart, she always enjoyed “the shore.” Predeceased by both parents; her husband, Joseph; son, Stephen and all her siblings. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Ronda (Rodney Petty) and Kevin (Judy) Vance, both of Truro; six great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren whom she enjoyed immensely, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sharp as a tack, Gram drove her car until this past July when she broke her first hip. She was fiercely independent until the end. Many thanks to Sharon Wood – a constant friend and companion. Donations in her memory may be made to the MS Society or Mahon Cemetery. No service or visitation by her request. Spring interment in Mahon Cemetery, Great Village. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com
