Lawrence’s Obituary
It is with great sadness the family of the late Lawrence Joseph Hall (Lorne) announce his passing on October 20th, 2020 at the age of 84 years. He leaves to mourn with fond memories his loving children Gloria (Paul) and Gary (Janette) and grandsons Jeremy and Ryan. He is survived by his brothers Dermot and Clarence (Linda), sister-in-law Elizabeth and daughter-in-law Rowena.
He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Rita Johanna in 2007, son Tony in 2018, sister-in-law Olive, brothers Columbus, Ignatius (Judy), Aloysius (Doris), Benedict, Leslie, Hubert and sisters Madonna, Kathleen and Ramona.
Lorne was a hardworking, kind man with a mischievous sense of humour and a great love of nature, and a passion for fishing, hunting and tinkering. His fondness of a good mug-up on the berry barrens and a mussel boil-up on a beach will always be remembered along with his love for a good mug of tea.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility for their compassion and care of Lorne in his final days.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Lawrence can be made to the Alzheimer Society or the ALS Society.
Cremation has been entrusted to Country Haven Funeral Home with a family gathering to be held at a later date.
