Laureen Smith, 93, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Ritz Villa, Mitchell on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late Doug Smith (1995). Dear mother of Anne Krieger (Dave), Val Fowler (Jack), Nora McGill (Bob) and Lois Hishon (Dan). Loving Nana of Rob Krieger (Joanne), Kelley Krieger (Steve), Jill Fowler, Jaclyn Dietz (Kory), Tricia Murray (Jason), Matt McGill (Brittany), Nick Hishon (Tiff) and Shawn Hishon. Cherished Great Nana of Brayden, Tegan, Tanner, Dawson, Cameron, Kale, Luke, Ryan, Nick and Charlotte. Dear sister of Louis Scholl (Hattie). Dear sister-in-law of Harold McLaughlin. She will be missed by «Daughter #5» Michelle Willows and her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Louis and Elizabeth Scholl, brothers Alfred, Lorne, Bill and Don, and sister Rita Wagner.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Dr. David Thompson officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment in Knox Presbyterian Cemetery.
