Kevin’s Obituary
GREENWOOD, Kevin Eugene- 68, Wood’s Harbour, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on July 20, 2020. Born July 20, 1952, he was the son of the late Eugene and Marguerite (Nickerson) Greenwood. Kevin owned and operated his own boat at the young age of 16 and continued to fishing until he sold his boat in the late 80’s. He worked for Gregory Sears Lobster Pound on the Hawk for several years. Kevin took great pride in making and crafting homemade wooden lobster boats, wooden boat ornaments and weathervanes. He faithfully read his bible every night. Every time Kevin and his wife, Martha came to Barrington, they never returned home without having to stop into Dan’s Ice Cream Shop for a twist ice cream cone. He was will be greatly missed by all that loved and knew him. Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Martha (Goreham); step-children, Jacqueline (Doug) Dunham and Sheldon (Laurel) Scott; brothers, James (Mary), Shag Harbour; Marvin (Caroline), Shag Harbour; Morgan (Carole), Barrington; sister, Judith (James), NB; nieces and nephews; Cody, Gareth, Margaret, Kerr, Kirsty, Troy, and Denise. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Marguerite Greenwood; and brother, Sean. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A memorial service will take place 2:00p.m., Friday, August 7 at the Shag Harbour United Baptist Church, Shag Harbour, with Pastor Phil Williams officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
