The Smith Family sadly announces the passing of Kerby Smith. It is hard to express what he meant to his family and friends in only a few sentences. Those who had the privilege of knowing him will undoubtedly have memories of Kerby’s fabulous sense of humour and sharp wit. There were many evenings spent sharing a wonderful meal with a great bottle of red, or several, as well as good cheer and laughter. Kerby could read a room and always seemed to know just the right moment to crack a joke and have everyone laughing in no time.
Kerby’s love for fishing was most definitely his happy place. Many fishing trips with the boys club were had with Kaptain Krabby manning the helm, sharing his secret fishing spots, and keeping everyone fed like kings!
Even though his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit and light remain through our memories. We take comfort knowing he is now with loved ones, and has «gone fishin» to reel in that big one!
A Celebration of Kerby’s life will be held at a later date. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
