Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce that Keith ( Whitey ) passed away in the arms of his loving family at 9:44 pm on Saturday, October 10th, 2020.
Keith will be forever missed by his wife and soul-mate Cheryl, his daughter Angela and his grandchildren Lorien and Emmaly. Also left to mourn is his sister Rhoda, nieces and nephews, his extended family, his best friend Bradley and many friends.
Keith was predeceased by his father Lloyd, his mother Edith, brother Roy, brother-in-law George and his mother-in-law Isabelle.
Keith was born in Rockglen Saskatchewan and moved to his beloved Vancouver Island as a young teen. Known as Whitey by most, Keith worked for Shadforth Log Scaling for 41 years. He worked all over Vancouver Island and the Coast. He often talked about his time spent in camp, where the fishing was great and where he met many life long friends. For the past several years, Keith was the weigh master at DCT Chambers in Chemainus. He loved his job and considered the Chambers crew his family.
Keith was a gentle soul and was loved by all who knew him.
Rest in Peace Whitey, you will always be as rare as The Golden Spruce.
