June Marie Elliott, age 85, of Stratford and formerly of Peterborough, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Stratford General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hastings County, daughter of the late James and Helga (Linkie) Grant. Wilson “Sonny” Rowe (Lorrianne), Donna Rowe. Grandmother to Patty Muncan (Steve), Deanna Robotham (Neal), Vicki Ara and great grandmother of Matthew, Cassidy, Noah and Dominic. June moved to Stratford in the early 1970’s working at Canadian Fabricating for close to 20 years before retiring, her biggest joy in life was her time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be truly missed. Survived by her siblings, Helen Martin, Vera Shatraw (Floyd), Emerson Grant (Marie), Barb Casselman, Lilah Dodd and her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, June was predeceased by her husband John Elliott, a son Robert Rowe, a granddaughter Laurel-Anne Rowe, a great granddaughter Faith Ara, siblings Myrtle Jean (Eddie), Roy Grant (Luella), Andy Grant, Willard Grant and her brothers-in-law Bob Martin, Wallace Casselman, John Dodd. In keeping with June’s wishes, cremation will take place with a family service and interment in Hastings County at a later date.
