Joseph Thomas «Joey» Flynn
1943-2020
Joseph
Thomas Flynn, 76, of Kentville, died suddenly on September 10, 2020 in
the Valley Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late William and
Emily Flynn. Joey was a jokester and loved to play pranks on
everyone around him. He was always leaving things in your shoes and
hiding your shoes. He would talk to anybody and everybody. He had such
a jolly nature and will be sadly missed by all that knew him. He
attended the School of the deaf in Halifax and Amherst and worked for
the Government of Toronto as a printer for 45
years. Joey leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Helen
(Henshaw) Flynn; mother-in-law, Nina Henshaw; brother-in-law, Howard
Henshaw; sister-in-law, Olga Flynn; nephews, Darren (Karla) Henshaw,
Barry (Patsy) Blance, Danny Flynn and Mark Flynn; nieces, Denisa
(Bruce) Mossman and Brianna Manuel; cousin, Linda Wadden; as well as
numerous friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by
his father-in-law, Joseph Henshaw; brothers, Freddy Flynn, Earl Flynn
and Darren Flynn. Cremation has
taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A public
graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September
24, 2020 in Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Father Keith Billard
officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
