Joseph Laurent «Larry»
Gamache – 74, Truro,
formerly of Upper North River, passed away peacefully on Thursday
morning, September 10, 2020, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre,
Truro. Larry made the decision to die with dignity and on his own
terms with the assistance of MAID, following a lengthy illness with
ALS.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where Larry’s
family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m., Saturday, September 12,
2020. (Please use the front doors of the funeral home,
wear face masks and practice physical distancing.)
Private funeral service will be held on Monday,
September 14, 2020; live webcast of the funeral service will be
available on this website beginning at 2:55 p.m., Monday, September
14, 2020; select «Video of Funeral» icon on
Larry’s obituary page on the funeral home website. Interment
will be held at a later date in Palmerston Cemetery,
Pugwash.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Huntington Society of Canada
or ALS Society Nova Scotia are welcomed. Private messages of
