Tong: John Robert –
A resident of Hamilton, John Tong passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton the on March 18, 2020 at the age of 92.
Born in Ingersoll, John was the son of Joseph and Rosetta (Rowe) Tong.
Beloved husband of the late Eliza (Goldsmith) and long time partner of the late Betty Paglia.
Loving father to Cheryl (George) Chewka of Hamilton, Bill (Phyllis) Tong of Grimsby, and the late Robert Tong, and Jack Tong.
Father in law to Cheryl Tong and Bernice Tong.
Grandfather to Jason, Brandy, Vicky, Lee-Ann, Jennifer, Christopher, Jeremy, Desiree, and many great grandchildren.
Brother to the late Bill (Shirley) Tong, Tom (Grace) Tong, Ralph (Madeline) Tong, Mildred (Bill) Pals.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Private family visitation will take place with an interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
