Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 30, 2020. John Joseph McGurn of Croydon at age 89. Beloved husband of Therese McGurn (nee Slack) and dear father of Mary Mills (Dave) of Yarker; Stephen McGurn (Karen) of Barrie; Barb Warren (Alan) and Joanne McGurn of Croydon. Grandfather of David Mills (Danielle), Veronica Mills (Adam Hartwell) and Jeffrey Mills (Michaela VanNess); Leah, Michaela and Tess McGurn; Kira Fox (Michael), Jessie Commerford (David) and Samantha Warren (John Gordon). Great-grandfather of Andre Mills, Richard Mills, Henry Mills, John Fox and Jack Commerford. Brother of late Gerald (late Eileen) and the late Alban (late Helen) and brother-in-law to Mike Slack (Margaret); Pauline Rush (late Merrill); Veronica Withers (John); Benny Slack (Shirley); Tony Slack (Geri); Thecla Gaffney (Bernie) and the late Patrick Slack (late Margaret). A family visitation to be followed by Liturgy of the Word Service at the Church of the Assumption in Erinsville. Memorial donations made to the Assumption Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
