John David Smialek – Oct 4 1967 – Nov 9 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Smialek. His body was repatriated to Canada from Marrakech, Morrocco where he passed away of natural causes on November 9th at the age of 52.
John’s goodness, sensitivity and free spirit made him a special person. His love for art carried him to various parts of the world. He was an accomplished artist and produced wonderful work.
John will be sadly missed by his mother, Ana and Grant, brother Daniel (Xiomara) and Christopher (Carolyn) Yeo. Nieces Ella, Catalina and Maggie. Nephews Gerry, Nolan and Callahan.
John also leaves behind his aunts and uncles Ralph (Barbara), Barbara (Stan) Makuch, Zoe (Rick) Scott and their families.
John was predeceased by his sister Trina and father Gerald.
A funeral mass will take place on December 14th at 10:30am at St. Joseph’s Church in Bowmanville.
