Obituary of Johanna Rivers
It is with great sadness that the family of Johanna Anna Maria Rivers announce her passing on Monday, September 21, 2020 at the age of 82. Johanna passed peacefully with family by her side. She is finally reunited with her late husband, Jack, after 27 years. Beloved friend of the late Rudi Ruschpler. Loving mother of Cathy Bock (Tim) and Patti Rivers. Grandmother of Sheila (Andrew), Shawna, Emily (Kyle), and Lydia (Michael). Great Grandmother of Kai, Liam, Dexter, Annabella, Joe, Reese, Charlie, Hiram and the late Aiden.
Johanna was born in 1938 in the Netherlands and emigrated to Canada as a child after the war. She is predeceased by her parents Frank Broos and Petronella Vanderloo. She will be missed by her brothers Arnold (Betty) of Arizona and Frank Broos. A private family service will be held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758). Memorial donations to the SAH Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Maple View Nursing Home for their care and support.
