Obituary of Joe Dynes
DYNES,Walter Joseph “Joe” – Peacefully with his family by his side at Bluewater Health, Joe Dynes died on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the age of 73. Beloved husband and best friend of Marcia Dynes. Loving father of Michele Sherwood (Jason Brandon), Patty Rouse (Roger) and Sheri Donkers (Terry). Special Papa of Ashley Tanguay (Guy), Gillian Sherwood, Deejay Dynes, Jenna McArthur and Owen & Nathan Ingles. Cherished great-grandfather of Lilly & Lilah Bedard, Maya Tanguay and Joey Dynes. Dear brother of Sharon Holmes (Clair), Susan Scott (David) and Beverly Miller (Brad). Predeceased by his parents Walter & Margaret Dynes and step-father Donald Smith. Joe was the owner/operator of Hydra-Dyne for 16 years. He was well known for his passion for hot rods, especially his special “Old Stud”. Joe & Marcia spent many years travelling to car shows where Joe’s truck the “Old Stud” won many awards. He had love for the water and was a long time member of the Sarnia Yacht Club. Joe was larger than life, always had a smile on his face and was always there for others. He will be forever missed but lovingly remembered. Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering was held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, Sarnia (519-344-3131). A public Celebration of Life for Joe will be held at the Sarnia Yacht Club, 1220 Fort St., Point Edward, on Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 1 to 4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association, 150-633 Colborne Street, London, ON N6B 2V3 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2679 Howard Ave., Windsor, ON N8X 3X2.
