Obituary of Joan Kopke
Kopke, Joan (nee Kriek)
A resident of Chatham, Joan Kopke peacefully passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the age of 73.
Born in South Africa, Joan was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Myrtle (nee Gower) Kriek.
Joan will be missed dearly by her ex-husband, Ray Kopke and companion, Allan Chapple.
Dear mother of Steven Kopke and Russell Kopke, and his wife, Laura.
Grandmother of Caroline Kopke, Alexis Kopke and Elliott Kopke.
Remembered always by her brother, Nic Kriek, brother-in-law, Basil Kopke and wife, Heather, sister-in-law, Cynthia Parnell.
Joan moved from South Africa to Chatham 10 years ago, was a member of the Active Lifestyle Centre and very much enjoyed her Bridge Playing and other activities. She was also an amateur artist, enjoyed painting and adored her dogs. Joan will be dearly missed by her many friends at the Active Lifestyle Centre, and her family, in Chatham and in South Africa.
As per Joan’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
