Passed away at Pleasant View Towers on Monday, June 1, 2020 after a lengthy battle with Dementia, Joan A. Guzzwell at the age of 95. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ellen McDonald. Her husband Gerard Guzzwell (1994). Also, her siblings Mary, Florence, Margaret, Steve, Jack and Tom. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Elizabeth Anne (husband Edward Oliver); sons: Charl (Ilene), John (Debbie), Gerard, Ed (Laura), Kevin (Juanita). Grandchildren Kellie Oliver, Leanne, Sara and Ashley Guzzwell and Nick Guzzwell (Lisa); great grandchildren Curtis Oliver, Autumn Banks, Zachery Guzzwell and Reign and Marlee Foley. Joan also leaves to mourn her sisters Shirley McCullum and Pauline Thomas as will as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Special Thanks to all the staff on 2NW at Pleasant View Towers for their exceptional care and kindness during her lengthy stay. Cremation has taken place. Due to the current Health Advisory of COVID-19 there will be no visitation. A private burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Gerard. Rest in Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gathering Place or a charity of one’s choice.
