Obituary for Jean Donaghy
Jean Viola Donaghy (nee Atkinson), formerly of Wyoming Ontario, passed peacefully at Lambton Meadowview Villa on March 27, 2020. Jean was in her 84th year. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Patrick in 2011. She is lovingly remembered by her brother and sisters in the Wyoming area, her brother in Texas and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Northern Ireland. Jean was a special aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Unites States and Northern Ireland.
Jean was a dedicated Registered Nurse for 39 years. Her happiest years were spent in the maternity ward where she lovingly cared for countless mothers and babies. Jean’s nurturing spirit was ever present and extended to her family, whom she nursed through happiness and hardship. She was a true Nightingale, her entire life devoted to loyal service of humankind without hesitation, prejudice nor judgement.
Cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
