Jean Boland passed peacefully from natural causes at the Westwood Retirement Residence on December 19, 2020 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband of over 69 years, Patrick (2006) and grandson Phil (2019). Mom will be missed by her devoted children Peter (Elizabeth), Nancy (Greg), Sue (Howard) and Richard (Natalie). Grandmother to eight, Great Grandmother to nine. Mom was always thrilled by their visits or to hear from the ones that lived out of town or overseas. Mom spent many years working with Bell Canada and thoroughly enjoyed her time with them. Mom (and Dad) spent many years travelling to Florida annually as snowbirds. Mom’s good friend’s on 7D street will miss her company. Her family and friends will miss Jean’s quick wit, cheerful smile and positive attitude. Jean was always up for a game of bridge and her keen skills made her an excellent partner and teacher. Most people who knew Jean knew her best as “Jean, Jean the Butter Tart Queen”. A memorial service will be held in the future when everyone is able to travel and get together for a celebration of a long and meaningful life.
