Janet McKnight
1950-2020
It is with great sadness that the family of Janet Edith
McKnight announces her passing which occurred on August 14, 2020 at
the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sus, NB, on July 24,
1950, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Della (Gamblin)
McKnight.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Leigh
McKnight; daughter Michelle Nice and her husband Andrew of Salt
Springs, NB; son Joshua McKnight and his wife Melissa of Bloomfield,
NB; grandchildren: Joel, Timothy and Reuben Nice and Alden McKnight;
sister Ruth Smith and her husband John of Quispamsis, NB;
sister-in-law Thelma McKnight of Quispamsis, NB; as well as several
nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased
by her brother Murray McKnight; and nephew Weldon
McKnight.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s
Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road,
Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. A private funeral service will be held at
Outreach Pentecostal Church with interment in Riverbank
Cemetery.
Memorial donations in memory of Janet may be made to the NB Kidney
Foundation, Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Norton
Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
