James (Jim) Joseph Singleton
1948-2020
James (Jim) Joseph Singleton passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 26th, 2020 at the age of 71. Born in Newcastle, N.B on June 29th 1948, he was the son of the late Raymond and Kathleen (Manderville) Singleton. James is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Kathleen, his three children Jimmy, Stephen, and Amy, his siblings Eddie Singleton (Regina) Mary Singleton, and Ruby Johnson (Marty), Father-in-Law William Hallihan(Gwen), brothers-in-law Gordon and Ernest Hallihan and Harvey Funk, nephews Christopher Singleton and Ashley Jardine, and niece Carol Funk.
James leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years Joan, his son Kevin (Lori), his pride and joy grandchildren Kaelie and Sawyer, his sisters Eloise Funk, Peggy Donovan (Steve), and Shirley McLean (Richard), and brothers Raymond (Karen) and William (Agathe), his Mother-in-Law Gwen Hallihan, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.. The family also wishes to acknowledge Dr. Kruger and the nurses on 2nd West for their kindness and compassion over the last 5 weeks.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, on Sunday March 1st from 2-4 and 7-9. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous on Monday, March 2nd at 11 AM with Father Dan Bastarache.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
