James «Jim»‘s Obituary
James F. Kane «Jim» ~ age 81 of Kingston, NS passed away May 23rd, in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton, peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with COPD. Born in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late James F and Jean (Banfield) Kane. He will be sadly missed by his family whom he loved dearly. Jim started his career as a meat cutter at age 14 and was a Meat Manager at various stores throughout his career. In later years he ran a produce stand in Kingston and very much enjoyed conversing with his customers. Jim was very proud to be a founding member of the Multi Addictions Centre Society (MACS) in North Kingston. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Diana; Children- James (Yvette) ,Cindy (Tim) ,Carol (Sheldon) ,Tammy (Rob); Grandchildren Tymika, Nic, Jamie, Justin, TJ, Ceilidh, Sheldon, Hannah, Connor, Colby; Great Grandchildren, Alyssa, Elsie, Eliza, Charlie; Brothers John (Audrey) , Mike (Pearl); Sisters Sheila, Jean (Tom), Vickie (John) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Don and Stewart. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Multi Addictions Centre Society, 2080 Bishop Mountain Rd, Kingston,NS B0P 1R0, Victorian Order of Nurses, Annapolis Valley Branch or charity of choice .
