James Howard Meade
1939-2020
It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of
James Howard Meade on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Hospital, Fredericton NB. Born on October 15, 1939, he was the son of
the late Harry and Deltha (Randall) Meade.
Jim will be missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Kathleen
(Coy) Meade, children Stephen Meade (Trish Reid), Kevin Meade, and
Cathy Trafton (Brian); grandchildren Jordyn Armstrong (Nick), Shawn
Trafton, and Sarah Kennedy (Jason); great grandchildren Maryanne and
Jacob; brothers Harold Meade (Wanda), Kenneth Meade (Linda), and Bliss
Meade; sisters Verna Poore (Kenneth), and Phyllis Brown; sister-in-law
Aline; special friend John Nash; four legged, furry friend Mickey as
well as many nieces, nephews, friends and extended
family.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his
brothers Allen Meade and Gerald Meade (Helen), sister Rosella Coy
(Allen), and brother-in-law Gerald Brown and infant brother
Robert.
A special thank you to Trish and Sandy for all their loving
care over the last few years. Thank you to the Extramural staff
(especially Bernard), as well as the doctors and staff at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Hospital.
In accordance to the health restrictions due to Covid-19,
there will be a private visitation and funeral service held at the
Oromocto Funeral Home, with an interment to follow at the Upper
Gagetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Upper Gagetown
Cemetery Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the
donor’s choice would be appreciated.
