With heavy hearts the family of Ian Bernhardt announce his passing at home. Predeceased by his father Paul Bernhardt and mother Carolyn Benson, daughter Sarah and his brother David. Left to mourn his loss are his daughter Lianna, brother Doug of Ottawa, sister Anne Popiel and nephew Ian McLean. Ian was born in Peterborough and moved to Brantford in his teenage years. He was a long time employee of Rembos Inc. Ian was well known for his humour, quick wit and one liners. He had a soft spot for animals, watching professional sports, especially the Washington Redskins, and participating in sport pools. He loved to go on canoe trips with his friends, enjoyed visiting his sister’s cottage, and tending to his gardens. Ian will be greatly missed by his many lifelong friends and co-workers. Due to the Covid-19 virus, there will be no funeral at this time. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ian’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Epilipsy Ontario or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to TOLL FUNERAL HOME.
