Hattie’s Obituary
NICKERSON, Hattie Evangeline – 92, of Roseway Manor, formerly of Upper Wood`s Harbour. Passed away June 21, 2020 a few days after her 92nd birthday. Born June 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Marsden and Lila (Nickerson) Chetwynd. Hattie is survived by her nieces, Crystal, Linda, Pamela, Brenda, Lila, Kathy and Kim; nephews, Tommy and Kevin and many great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Hattie was predeceased by her husband, Arthur E. Nickerson; sister, Lillian Crowell; brothers, Thomas L. Chetwynd and Glen Chetwynd. Hattie left Wood`s Harbour at a young age to find employment in the USA. There she worked for many years for H.P. Hood Co. in East Boston, returning back to Wood`s Harbour in the early 90`s. The last year and a half she resided in Roseway Manor where she called home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Roseway Manor for the excellent care she received while there. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 from 12 – 1 pm at the Wood`s Harbour Wesleyan Church. A private family service will take place on Wednesday from the Wood`s Harbour Wesleyan Church. No flowers by request, in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Autism Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
