Obituary of Harry William Rigby
RIGBY, HARRY WILLIAM
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Harry William Rigby on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Born in Dublin , Ireland on January 10, 1927, he was the eldest son of William & Anne (Manning) Rigby. Harry, guided by an unwavering faith, was passionate about his family, and generously shared his musical gifts and talent with the broader community. Harry began the final stage of his teaching career at St. Thomas University in 1965, where he influenced the lives and learning of so many. Harry filled every room he occupied with his larger than life personality. He is survived by a large and loving family.
A visitation open to the public will take place at York Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 2 -5 pm. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, a private family Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, August 24, 2020. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Harry Rigby Scholarship Fund at St. Thomas University would be appreciated. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
